Job summary

Middleborough Public Schools is seeking a dedicated special education professional to implement adaptive instruction for designated students in varied settings. You will use multi-sensory teaching, assistive technology, and data-informed methods to support goals.

You will collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families, manage IEPs and progress reports, and participate in annual reviews and Team meetings to ensure effective services.

Qualifications

• Experience with behavioral therapeutic techniques, including Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Collaborative approach with teachers, specialists, and families.
• Familiarity with MCAS Alternate Assessment.
• Experience documenting IEPs and progress reports.

Responsibilities

• Implement and adapt academic and specially designed instruction across content areas using multi-sensory teaching and differentiated strategies.
• Collaborate with grade level teachers, special education staff, and specialists to provide services.
• Promote research-based strategies for transition and generalization of goals within regular education.
• Assess progress toward objectives and goals for feedback to students, parents, and administration.
• Serve as contact person for designated caseload, including IEP paperwork and Team process.
• Utilize classroom management strategies, including a positive behavior intervention system.
