Job summary

Spokane Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator to provide flexible, building-based support for students with diverse needs across classrooms and settings. You will assist with academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and independence supports identified through IEPs and MTSS, collaborating with teachers, case managers, and related service providers.

Responsibilities include implementing student plans, collecting data, using assistive technology, and ensuring safe, inclusive access to instruction.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or equivalent and 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits from an accredited college, AA or BA degree, OR pass an academically rigorous assessment.
• Demonstrated ability and aptitude to perform the responsibilities listed.
• Must complete Core Competencies within one year if hired into a Paraeducator position.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in core academic areas designed by teachers/specialists.
• Assist students with IEP/504 plan accommodations and documentation data.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and safety across settings; supervise students.
