Job summary

826 Boston is seeking an Internship Program Manager to design and oversee a learning-centered internship experience for students and interns. You will lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support, with a strong emphasis on DEI and equity in compensation and opportunities.

You will collaborate with DEI Growth Manager and program staff to align systems, manage intern budgets, and expand partnerships with schools and community organizations in Boston.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in career services, education, admissions, or youth development nonprofit.
• Experience developing and implementing DEI-aligned processes and protocols.
• Exceptional relational skills and ability to build and sustain relationships in educational or nonprofit settings.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
• Familiarity with social and racial justice history and current equity issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage the intern hiring process with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding of interns.
• Provide coaching and ongoing support to interns and supervisees.
• Collaborate with program staff to align goals and practices with the DEI Growth Manager.
• Oversee internship program data, budgets, and payments to partners and interns.
• Support outreach to schools and community partners to recruit interns.
