Job summary

Assisted Employment Services, Inc. is seeking an Employment Specialist / Job Coach to provide individualized employment services to individuals with disabilities referred through Vocational Rehabilitation.

You will help participants prepare for, obtain, retain, and advance in competitive employment based on their abilities and goals. You will work closely with VR counselors, families, employers, and the participant's support team to promote successful outcomes, provide job coaching, and support

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher degrees preferred.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities or employment services is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the service area; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and assess employment interests, strengths, barriers, and support needs.
• Review IPE and ensure services align with VR goals.
• Develop individualized employment plans and job-search strategies.
• Assist with resumes, applications, cover letters, interview prep, and pre-employment activities.
• Identify opportunities based on skills, interests, location, and goals.
• Coordinate employer outreach to develop opportunities.
• Provide on-site and off-site job coaching and support toward independence.
• Maintain regular communication with VR counselors and employers.
