Job summary

The Ledyard School District is seeking a Resource Paraeducator for Gallup Hill Elementary School. Under the supervision of a certified staff member, you will assist students in the classroom to support instructional goals.

Responsibilities include guiding students in reading and math, supporting small groups, assisting with assessments, and helping with classroom routines, safety, and supervision during non-instructional times.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit (60) or an associate's degree or evidence of having passed Para Pro Assessment.
• Willingness to be trained to assist all instructional and behavioral needs of the students.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning and implement programs.
• Assist staff in administering and correcting classroom exercises, tests, and assessments.
• Assist with classroom preparations and strategies to reinforce instructional materials.
• Maintain records documenting student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management to maintain a safe, orderly environment.
