Job summary

Ledyard School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support students across reading, language arts, math, and computer instruction. You will work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning and assist teachers with assessments and materials.

The role involves classroom management, documentation, and assisting with inclusive education for students with special needs. The position is part-time, following the school calendar, with hourly pay and bus/field duty expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit (60) or associate degree or evidence of Para Pro Assessment.
• Experience with inclusive and small group settings preferred.
• Experience with special needs students preferred.
• Willingness to be trained to assist instructional and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning.
• Assist staff in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Prepare and reinforce instructional materials for individual needs.
• Maintain records documenting student learning and performance.
