Job summary

Qualifications

• AA/AS/AAS degree or higher, or two years of college coursework toward a bachelor's.
• Passing score on the ParaPro or Paraeducator assessment with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to support inclusion and work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing student IEPs, 504 Plans, BIP, and sensory plans.
• Support inclusion of students with disabilities in general education settings.
• Record data on IEP objectives and BIPs for monitoring progress.
• Assist students with functional skills and activities of daily living.
• Support teachers in working with individual students in therapy and behavior.
• Mobility around classrooms and school to meet student needs.
• Complete third-party billing daily.
• Provide follow-up instruction on positive behavioral interventions and de-escalation techniques.
• Be trained in Non-violent Crisis Intervention for safety.
