Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary coursework toward a bachelor's degree.
• ParaPro Assessment with a high school diploma or GED.
• An AA/AS/AAS degree or 60 credits toward a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a licensed teacher and/or other licensed instructional or nursing staff.
• Follow daily schedule.
• Support all students in the general education classroom, including those with 504 Plans or IEPs.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain records.
• Tutor students in reading, language arts, spelling, mathematics, social studies, and other subjects.
• Assist with checkout/check-in of materials and organize instructional supplies.
• Prepare, duplicate, and assemble materials; use iPads and light typing as needed.
• Maintain displays and bulletin boards; help with program registration and fee collection; answer phones.
• Participate in physical education activities with students.
• Assist in planning parties and special projects.
