Job summary

Saint Paul Public Schools is looking to hire a full-time TA 2 - Special Ed for our RiverEast Elementary in St. Paul, MN. This role will assist in implementing students' IEPs and inclusive education.

The ideal candidate will have an AA degree or equivalent coursework, and experience working with students. This position is 10 months with a competitive pay range of $20.19 - $25.47 for TA1 and $21.63 - $28.48 for TA2.

Qualifications

• An AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree, or
• Two years of post-secondary coursework applicable toward a bachelor's degree.
• Passing score on the ParaPro or Paraeducator Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing students' IEPs and Behavior Plans.
• Support inclusion of students with disabilities.
• Help students with functional skills.

Skills

Basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics.

Ability to develop good relationships with students and staff.

Ability to relate to students with warmth.

Education
