Job summary

Saint Paul Public Schools is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant 2 for a Special Education classroom. The 10-month position works 35 hours per week, with a pay range of $21.63–$26.28 per hour. The role includes supporting IEPs and inclusive practices, data collection, and daily student supports under supervision.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Ability to type and duplicate as needed.
• Ability to relate well to students and staff.
• Punctuality required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing IEPs, 504 plans, BIPs and sensory plans.
• Support inclusion of students with disabilities in general education.
• Record data on IEP objectives and BIPs for monitoring.
• Assist with feeding, dressing, toileting, and other self-help skills.
• Maintain toileting areas and equipment and set up meal areas.
• Assist teachers with individuals in communications systems therapy and behavior management.
• Be mobile to move around classrooms and school.
• Assist in field trips and bus safety tasks.
