Job summary

South Street Early Learning Center in Fitchburg, MA is hiring a Paraprofessional - Inclusion Support to assist teachers in delivering an inclusive, high-quality education for all students. Qualifications

• Meets or exceeds ESSA Title I Paraprofessionals Hiring Requirements.
• Associate degree or higher, or 48 college credits.
• Rigorous standard on Parapro or WorkKeys assessments.
• Ability to work with teachers, support staff, and parents.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to growing students academically and socially-emotionally.
• Ability to lift to 20 lbs/bend often.
• Knowledge of education, development, and instructional support of children.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support student(s) with or without disabilities.
• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing academic/social/behavioral needs.
• Ensure student safety across all school settings.
• Use innovative approaches and technologies to boost learning.
• Follow policies in working with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Attend and participate in meetings and district activities.
• Maintain professional competence through development events like SafetyCare or Alice Training.
• Maintain accurate records as required by policy and regulation.
• Support classroom rules and maintain order with fairness.
