Job summary

Bend-La Pine Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant – Inclusion to support the instructional program for students with special needs under direct supervision of a special education teacher and site administrator.

The role involves routines in a classroom setting, supporting students with individualized education plans, and assisting with daily activities, data collection, and instructional materials. This is a part-time, on-site position at Bend, Oregon.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: At least two years of related college education, an AA degree, or meet Highly Qualified requirements by passing the Parapro assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with implementing individualized education plan (IEP).
• Assists special education teaching staff in preparation, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs.
• Communicates with teachers and parents on students’ progress.
• Maintains records to monitor students’ daily and monthly progress.
• Provides students with additional practice on identified skill areas.
• Prepares instructional materials and operates instructional equipment.
