Qualifications

• Reads, understands and carries out oral and written instructions.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows district policies.
• Trains and supervises student helpers under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEP).
• Assist staff with preparation, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs.
• Communicate student progress to teachers and parents.
• Maintain records monitoring student progress daily and monthly.
• Provide extra practice on identified skills.
• Correct student work as assigned by the teacher.
• Prepare instructional materials and operate equipment.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, and before/after school.
