Job summary

Navy Region Southwest Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a CYP Inclusion Specialist to provide an inclusive approach for children 6 weeks to 18 years with needs across Child and Youth Programs. The role supports development of inclusion and behavior support processes, conducts non-clinical assessments, and provides referrals within military and local communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education, special education, youth development or related field and three years of full-time experience with children/youth.
• Professional knowledge of child and youth development, early intervention, IDEA and inclusive practices.
• Observation and assessment methods knowledge and experience implementing BSP/ISP plans.
• Strong communication with families and teams; coaching adult learners and staff.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and data reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide inclusive supports across classrooms and programs using DoD/Navy tools and standards.
• Develop and implement ISP/BSP plans and monitor effectiveness.
• Coach CYP professionals to observe development and implement inclusion strategies.
• Coordinate with Training and Curriculum Specialist for ongoing training and coaching.
• Lead program assessments, participate in IAT, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain relationships with families, volunteers, and installation staff; support conferences.
