Job summary

Arc After School & Experiential Education in San Diego area seeks an Inclusion Aide to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs within our expanded learning programs.

You will collaborate with site coordinators and program leaders to ensure students are fully included in activities, receive necessary support, and participate safely in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in educational, recreational, after-school, or related settings.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Live Scan background clearance is required.
• TB test negative.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Support students in participating successfully in daily program activities.
• Provide individualized support and encouragement to students as needed.
• Assist students with homework completion and supplemental learning activities.
• Promote positive student behavior and engagement using age-appropriate support strategies.
• Support student safety through active supervision and line-of-sight monitoring.
• Assist with attendance tracking, student transitions, and parent/guardian release procedures.
• Collaborate with program staff, school personnel, and families to support student success.
• Participate in recreational, enrichment, leadership, arts, STEM, and physical activities.
• Follow all Arc policies, safety procedures, and mandated reporting requirements.
• When assigned, trained, and authorized, provide respectful assistance with a student’s individualized health, hygiene, or toileting support needs, following the student’s approved plan and applicable school, district, and Arc policies.
