Job summary

arc After School and Experiential Education is seeking an Inclusion Aide at Clairemont, San Diego, CA 92117 to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs within Arc's expanded learning programs.

The role partners with Site Coordinators and Program Leaders to ensure students are included, safe, and engaged. Part-time hours may include before/after-school periods plus breaks or activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in educational, recreational, after-school, or related settings.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Completion of 48 college units or passing score on an approved academic proficiency examination.
• Ability to pass Live Scan background clearance.
• Negative TB test result.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (adult, child, and infant).

Responsibilities

• Support students in participating successfully in daily program activities.
• Provide individualized support and encouragement to students as needed.
• Assist students with homework completion and supplemental learning activities.
• Promote positive student behavior and engagement using age-appropriate support strategies.
• Support student safety through active supervision and line-of-sight monitoring.
• Assist with attendance tracking, student transitions, and parent/guardian release procedures.
• Collaborate with program staff, school personnel, and families to support student success.
• Participate in recreational, enrichment, leadership, arts, STEM, and physical activities.
• Follow all Arc policies, safety procedures, and mandated reporting requirements.
• When assigned, trained, and authorized, provide respectful assistance with a student’s individualized health, hygiene, or toileting support needs, following the student’s approved plan and applicable school, district, and Arc policies.
