Job summary

Arc is seeking an Inclusion Aide to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs in Arc's expanded learning programs in Mira Mesa, San Diego. You will work with Site Coordinators and Program Leaders to ensure students are fully included and supported in a safe, engaging environment.

The role involves assisting with homework, promoting positive behavior, supervising activities, and coordinating with families and staff to foster student success.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Completion of 48 college units or passing score on an approved academic proficiency examination.
• Ability to pass Live Scan background clearance and TB test; CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support students in participating successfully in daily program activities.
• Provide individualized support and encouragement to students as needed.
• Assist students with homework completion and supplemental learning activities.
• Promote positive student behavior and engagement using age-appropriate support strategies.
• Support student safety through active supervision and line-of-sight monitoring.
• Assist with attendance tracking, student transitions, and parent/guardian release procedures.
• Collaborate with program staff, school personnel, and families to support student success.
• Participate in recreational, enrichment, leadership, arts, STEM, and physical activities.
• Follow all Arc policies, safety procedures, and mandated reporting requirements.
