Job summary

Copperas Cove ISD is seeking a BSC Inclusion Aide to support students with significant disabilities under the supervision of teachers and administrators. The aide assists in implementing structured classroom programs and supports physical, academic and behavioral needs.

Qualifications include 48 college credits or an associate degree, paraprofessional certification, and Handle With Care certification within the first year. The role is non-exempt and based at C.R.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups to students, staff, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support students with significant disabilities in alignment with IEP goals.
• Assist in highly structured classroom activities and behavior management.
• Help with transfer, positioning, feeding and personal care as needed.
• Supervise students during the day including lunch, bus duty and playground.
• Assist with instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation of student progress.
