Job summary

Copperas Cove ISD is seeking a VI Aide to provide individualized support to a student with special education services under certified staff supervision. You will assist with instructional, behavioral, functional, physical, communication, and personal care needs to promote access, participation, safety and independence within the school environment.

When not required for one-to-one support, you may assist with other instructional, supervisory, clerical or campus operational duties as assigned,

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed education/certification options.
• Complete district-required training applicable to the assigned student.
• Ability to work effectively with students and follow plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to the assigned student per IEP.
• Assist with instructional activities and reinforce concepts.
• Support participation and access across school activities per IEP and schedule.
• Implement accommodations and behavioral supports as directed.
• Assist with personal care needs when required.
• Document data related to student performance and needs.
• Communicate progress and needs to supervising staff.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by principal.
