Martin Bros. Distributing in Cedar Falls, IA is hiring a Receiver/Breaker for our Distribution Center. You will unload, inspect, and stage inbound product, ensuring accurate receiving and orderly flow.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with shifts possibly ending earlier or later. A high school diploma or GED is required, and physical ability to lift up to 150 lbs is needed. Benefits and 401K offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload inbound freight safely and accurately.

• Scan UPCs, verify counts, tag products, and enter data accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks) per safety guidelines.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and work collaboratively with team members.

Description

For over 85 years, Martin Bros. Distributing has been proud to be the largest independent, family owned, full-line foodservice distributor serving customers throughout the upper Midwest. We are currently hiring for positions within the Distribution Center.

The Receiver/Breaker is responsible for safely unloading, inspecting, breaking down, and staging inbound product within the warehouse. This role supports efficient warehouse flow by ensuring incoming freight is accurately received, properly organized, and delivered to the appropriate departments. The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (end time may vary).

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read instructions, perform basic math, and communicate effectively
• Comfortable operating warehouse equipment and working independently
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (standing, lifting, bending, repetitive motions)
• Able to safely lift cases of product (up to 150 lbs) and work in varied warehouse conditions (hot, cold, dusty, noisy)
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check upon job offer
