Job summary

A&B Distributors is seeking a Warehouse Receiver who will accurately receive, inspect, and process all incoming shipments, ensuring inventory is accounted for and stored properly at our Tyler, Texas facility. You will support distribution readiness and communicate with drivers and supervisors daily.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of warehouse receiving experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• WMS experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• PIT certification obtainable for safe operation of equipment.
• Able to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming deliveries; verify counts, product codes, and quality against purchase orders.
• Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Unload trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Document and record received goods in the warehouse management system.
• Tag, label, and organize products in designated locations.
• Replenish the front pick line to ensure product availability.
• Inspect inventory for expiration dates and rotate stock.
• Assist with loading trucks as needed.
• Move trucks/vans within the warehouse or between locations.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of receiving and storage areas.
• Communicate with drivers and supervisors to ensure smooth receiving operations.
• Adhere to safety and company compliance standards.
• Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.

• Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Unload trucks safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license with clean driving record
• 1+ years of warehouse receiving experience
• WMS experience (Encompass or other Warehouse Management Systems) preferred
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Physical Demands

This role requires regular standing, walking and reaching. Must be able to regularly lift and move products ranging from 25 to 170 pounds, as well as climb, reach, and perform other physical movements necessary to carry out the essential duties of the position. Work is performed in a warehouse environment where steel-toed footwear is required.
