Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Receiver/Checker for the perishable warehouse to verify incoming shipments, record data, and maintain inventory accuracy. You will work a 2nd shift (Sun-S Thurs 11:30pm-7:30am or later) and use MHE/RF devices to ensure correct quantities and conditions.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork, with duties including pallet labeling, discrepancy reporting, and collaboration with clerks and management to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Receiving certification is required.
• Ability to operate materials handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Examine contents and compare with records to verify incoming shipment accuracy.
• Record shipment data into computer system, including weights, charges, space and damages.
• Assist with cycle/directed counting to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Monitor warehouse management system for open invoices and discrepancies.
• Set up items and slots for efficient shipping and receiving; label pallets and verify inbound freight against PO and BOL.
• Operate the warehouse management system and use RF gun or voice picking.
• Perform other tasks as assigned and travel is not required.
