Standard Motor Products, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager, Inbound to lead inbound receiving, quality, put-away, consolidation, and replenishment in our Distribution Center.

The role reports to the Director of Distribution and is a first-shift, salaried position requiring strong leadership and process-improvement focus. You will manage supervision teams, coordinate staffing and equipment, monitor metrics, and drive safety and quality across inbound operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree preferred; technical aptitude or related experience required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in warehouse supervision.
• Experience with WMS/YMS and material handling equipment.
• Strong project management and time-prioritization skills.
• Self-directed with coaching ability for performance.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and metrics understanding.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented; takes initiative.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs; physical demands include standing/walking.
• Seasonal shifts may require evening/weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound receiving, quality, put-away, consolidation, and replenishment in the DC.
• Analyze workload with supervision to determine staffing requirements.
• Coordinate headcount and equipment needs with department managers.
• Balance workload by priority and headcount; assign duties.
• Track and report efficiencies of each department.
• Prepare work schedules to expedite inbound flow and movements.
• Review performance metrics and pursue improvements.
• Develop full-time headcount to meet in-season and off-season demands.
• Ensure training, SOP adherence, and cross-training effectiveness.
• Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents/incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Notify other functions of issues affecting deliveries.
• Provide leadership, set goals, give feedback, and perform evaluations.
• Maintain positive work environment and resolve conflicts.
• Perform other duties as required.
