Genuine Parts Company in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Inbound Operations Manager to lead inbound strategies at the distribution center and drive efficiency across unloading, receiving, and stocking processes.

You will mentor teams, uphold safety protocols, and partner with site leadership to meet performance goals while delivering exceptional customer service and cost control.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
• 1+ year’s proven experience in a managerial role and/or leading teams.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team to contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and proactive leadership.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to integrity, professionalism and customer service, with team support at the core.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with General Manager in implementing operational strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Manages inbound operations by setting strategic performance expectations and monitoring productivity.
• Leads inbound operations including scheduling, unloading, receiving, stocking, housekeeping, maintenance, and safety protocols.
• Promotes safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe workplace for employees.
• Trains and develops employees to support high efficiency and cover gaps as needed.
• Owns customer and partner inquiries, resolving issues and escalating when appropriate.
• Works cross-functionally with DC management to address receiving errors and process improvements.
• Protects assets and ensures proper receipts before merchandise leaves the dock.
• Monitors budget and cost-management efforts, driving cost-saving initiatives.
