Job summary

Crane is seeking an Inbound Specialist, Ground to own the delivery half of ground shipments from origin to invoicing. You will manage in-transit visibility across TMF and Descartes Aljex, pre-alert receiving warehouses, secure PODs, and reconcile revenue with costs.

You will escalate delays, maintain data parity between systems, and support billing with complete documentation, ensuring timely and accurate financials for high-value shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s in logistics preferred.
• 1–3 years in transportation operations, delivery coordination, dispatch, or related logistics role.
• Hands-on experience with transportation management systems (TMF and Descartes Aljex).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Aljex queue for shipments in Loaded status and own delivery; establish single-point ownership.
• Track shipments in MacroPoint, validate ETA, and reconcile with file appointments.
• Obtain and audit signed PODs against references, asset details, and piece counts.
• Upload PODs in Aljex and TMF, update milestones, and note driver information.
• Lock TMF job and release shipment in Aljex to prevent downstream edits.
• Escalate transit and delivery issues to the Capacity Planning Specialist and Ops Supervisor.
• Support billing by providing underlying documentation (BOL, POD, milestones, charge details).
