Job summary

Crane is seeking an Inbound Specialist, Ground to manage the destination half of the ground shipment file from origin departure through delivery, reconciliation, and invoicing. Responsibilities include in-transit visibility, pre-alerts, POD capture, and cross-system data parity between TMF and Aljex.

The role emphasizes auditing PODs, resolving discrepancies before billing, and escalating delivery and security issues to ensure clean handoffs to the billing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in transportation operations, delivery coordination, dispatch, or related logistics role.
• Hands-on experience with transportation management systems; direct experience with e2open TMF and/or Descartes Aljex strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the Aljex queue for shipments in Loaded status with a blank Service Rep field and take ownership promptly so no departed shipment sits unassigned.
• Track the shipment in MacroPoint, validate the ETA to the delivery location, and reconcile it against the appointment on file.
• Send the delivery pre-alert to the receiving warehouse using the inbound TMF template, confirming appointment date, time, references, and asset detail.
• Obtain the signed POD from the carrier at completion of delivery and upload to TMF and Aljex, updating milestones accordingly.
• Resolve discrepancies between POD, BOL, and system records before billing and escalate security and transit exceptions as needed.
• Support the billing team by producing underlying documentation (signed BOL, POD, milestones, charge detail) and ensure timely closure of files.
