Job summary

RadNet seeks an In Suite Assistant 1 to support MRI safety and patient care in a dynamic imaging environment. You will assist MRI staff, prepare coils, and help maintain a clean, compliant MRI suite while protecting patient information and property.

The role requires a year of medical setting experience, a MR Technologist Assistant program, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues professionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• At least one year experience in a medical setting.
• Completion of approved MR Technologist Assistant program, including hands-on clinical training.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, public relations and verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to assist in lifting patients onto table.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety, assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and/or history and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures as needed; including setup of coils, schedule maintenance, and cleanup of MRI suite.
• Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information on site.
• Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers, respecting boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You Will:

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
