Job summary

RadNet is seeking an In Suite Assistant 1 to join the MRI team and support safety, patient care, and seamless operations in the MRI suite.

You will collaborate with MR Technologists, radiologists, and staff to ensure accurate patient histories, proper coil setup, and safe handling of medications, while maintaining professional interactions with patients and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• At least one year experience in medical setting.
• Completion of MR Technologist Assistant program with hands-on clinical training.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to assist in lifting patients onto table.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and administrative staff for MRI safety and patient care.
• Relay patient history to MRI Technologist for safety and accuracy, assist during exams.
• Set up coils, schedule maintenance, and clean-up of MRI suite as needed.
• Safeguard patient property and Health Information.
• Safeguard medications on-site per policy and law.
• Maintain professionalism toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and public in clinical settings.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You Will:

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety, assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and/or history and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures as needed; which includes the set-up of coils, schedule maintenance, and/or clean-up of MRI suite
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on-site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification

• Must be able to assist in lifting patients onto table
