Job summary

RadNet is hiring an In Suite Assistant 1 to support MRI safety and patient care in a dynamic radiology environment.

You will assist MRI technologists and staff, convey patient history for accurate safety checks, and help with coils setup and routine suite maintenance while upholding privacy and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of experience in a medical setting.
• Completion of approved MR Technologist Assistant program with hands-on clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Assist MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and staff to ensure MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to MRI staff for accurate safety and screening.
• Set up coils, assist with scheduling and clean-up of the MRI suite.
• Safeguard patient property and Health Information; follow policy.
• Safeguard medications on site and handle patient financial information securely.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

You Will:

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety, assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and/or history and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures as needed; which includes the set-up of coils, schedule maintenance, and/or clean-up of MRI suite
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
