Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking an In Suite Assistant 1 in Maryland to support MRI safety and patient care in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will assist MRI technologists, convey patient history, set up coils, and help with safety protocols while maintaining professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Completion of approved MR Technologist Assistant program with hands-on clinical training.
• Excellent interpersonal, public relations and verbal/written communication skills.
• Must be able to assist in lifting patients onto table.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety; assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening/history and observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures; set-up of coils, schedule maintenance, and clean-up of MRI suite.
• Demonstrates competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards on-site medications per policy and legal requirements.
• Protects patient and financial information on-site or in portals.
• Responds professionally to needs of patients and coworkers.
• Respects patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during interactions.
• Interacts diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, families and the public in a clinical setting.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships.

You Will:

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
