Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking an In Suite Assistant 1 to float to Nassau County locations as needed, supporting MRI safety, patient care, and coordination with radiology staff. The role emphasizes professionalism, patient interaction, and adherence to health information privacy.

You will assist with coil setup, history transfer, patient observation, and safe handling of medications and patient belongings in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• At least one year experience in medical setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to assist lifting patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to MRI Steering Technologist, Radiologists and/or administrative staff to provide optimal MRI safety and patient care.
• Convey patient history to the MRI Technologist for accurate MRI safety, assist MRI Technologists to ensure MRI safety, coil positioning, patient screening and/or history and patient observation during exams.
• Support technologists with procedures as needed; which includes the set-up of coils, schedule maintenance, and/or clean-up of MRI suite
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.30 per hour
