Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to help keep guests, team members, and the brand safe while delivering an inspiring shopping experience. You will greet guests, assist with needs, and resolve issues to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to security protocols, including de-escalation and incident documentation. Flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: greet guests, assist in locating items and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Promote a physical security culture and maintain safe standards throughout the store, including exterior property.
• Respond to and document security incidents promptly using case management systems.
• Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed following AP policies.
• Submit documentation in the case management system for all incidents and communicate trends to leadership.
