Job summary

Scotch is seeking a Product Manager to own the in-store experience for the Android POS terminal merchants use to ring up sales. It’s a hands-on role with real autonomy, owning the terminal end-to-end and shaping the direction with engineering to ship it.

You’ll understand how the device behaves in a busy store, not just a demo. In a small product org, you’ll make calls without heavy committees, yet retain accountability for outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of product management experience.
• Experience owning a native mobile app as a product surface; fleet/MDM deployment.
• Proven track record of solo decision accountability.
• Regular direct customer contact with in-store users.
• Ability to explain decisions and tradeoffs clearly.
• Experience running multiple workstreams and balancing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication for engineers and merchants.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for the POS app and defend tradeoffs.
• Prioritize across merchant escalations, platform work, long-horizon bets.
• Spend time in stores with merchants to learn needs and gaps.
• Translate conflicting input into clear direction and write outcomes.
• Ensure the app holds up in real store conditions with peripherals/network.
• Own releases end to end and communicate what's shipping.
• Be the product contact for support/onboarding/go-to-market activities.
• Define success metrics before building and monitor adoption.
• Raise the bar in writing, decision making, and merchant communication.
