Job summary

Michaels in Fairfax, VA is seeking an events-focused team member to plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events including kids' birthday parties. You will deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure fast, friendly checkout while maintaining store standards.

Key duties include coordinating multiple events, engaging customers of all ages, demonstrating crafts, handling add-ons, managing emails and calls, and supporting SOPs, safety, and store cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent communication skills, including listening and written/verbal.
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in crafts and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
