Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist in Richardson, TX to guide customers from project concept to completion. You’ll be the first face customers meet, helping locate products, explain features, and close sales with strong service and product knowledge.

You’ll operate across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more, while maintaining high standards of customer care and teamwork. This role emphasizes hands-on selling and in-store support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail experience if education requirement is not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with/without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support and fund this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand their needs and communicate product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates and scheduling installer visits.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors to order replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assistance requests.
• Train associates in the department and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
