Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Design Consultant to provide seamless, consultative design services in-store. You will meet with customers, understand project needs, educate on requirements, and craft a design concept reflecting their style, lifestyle, and budget.

The role blends design expertise with retail selling in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in interior design or retail sales, knowledge of hard surface flooring, strong math and communication skills, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional design solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with timely communication.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
