Hy-Vee is seeking a Customer Service team member to act as the friendly face of in-store services. You will assist customers with mailing packages, money orders, licenses, and various transactions, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and accurate handling of operations.

The role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and a team-oriented approach within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Over six months up to one year of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Weigh postal packages, run mail through meters, and process various mail types (certified, express, UPS, registered, insured).
• Process Western Union orders and send faxes for customers.
• Sell money orders and cash payroll, personal, ADC, and social security checks.
• Sell hunting and fishing licenses.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist customers at registers.
• Answer phones and use intercom with proper procedures.
• Support co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.
