Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Resident Chef to lead culinary teams, run in-store cooking classes, and coach staff for exceptional customer experiences. You will oversee the culinary program, ensure safety and quality, and partner with store leadership to drive engagement and sales.

The ideal candidate has culinary credentials, 1–2 years teaching, 3–4 years kitchen management, and a Food Manager Certification, with a passion for hands-on leadership and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree required or equivalent.
• 1–2 years’ experience as a culinary instructor.
• 3–4 years kitchen management experience.
• Food Manager Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing culinary team.
• Lead, coach, and inspire staff to meet performance goals.
• Oversee evaluations and development plans for individuals and team.
• Create memorable cooking classes to drive customer loyalty.
• Ensure exceptional class experiences by following recipes and plans.
