Job summary

Thompson Palm Springs is seeking a Part-Time In Room Dining Server to join our luxury resort team in Palm Springs. You will stock, set up, and deliver room service orders, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

Role requires a Food Handler Card and RBS certification, with 21+ age for alcohol service. Prior hotel experience is preferred; excellent communication and stamina are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must hold Riverside County Food Handler’s Card.
• California RBS certification required or obtained.
• Must be at least 21 to handle alcohol.
• Experience in hotel/resort setting preferred.
• Strong guest-service orientation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock, set-up, and deliver all room service orders to guest rooms.

Role Qualifications & Duties

As an In Room Dining Server, your duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Stock, set-up, and deliver all room service orders and property amenities to guest rooms
• Retrieve trays from the guest rooms to maintain a neat and sanitary appearance
• Be knowledgeable of all services provided within the hotel and all menu items
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Ensure correct posting in POS system for communication to the service and kitchen department.

This is a nonexempt (hourly) role. The budgeted rate for this role is $16.90. This is the hourly rate for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual hourly rates will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.
