Job summary

Thompson Palm Springs Resort is seeking a creative Seasonal Upper Stories Bartender/Server for guests staying in our exclusive Upper Stories 21+ accommodations.

The role emphasizes mixing, serving, and recommending beverages with a focus on hospitality and style, within a luxury resort environment. This is a temporary, nonexempt position paying $20 per hour, through Memorial Day 2027, with potential extension based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience working at a full-service bar.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, fine dining restaurant/bar setting preferred.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide libations and customized recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain an attractive bar while engaging in casual conversation with guests.

Thompson Palm Springs Resort is seeking a creative Seasonal Upper Stories Bartender/Server for guests staying in our exclusive Upper Stories 21+ accommodations.

The Seasonal Upper Stories Bartender/Server are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The right person should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. This position offers opportunity for casual conversation, creativity and allows for building on one's style and previous bartending experiences. Preferred candidates will have understanding of state and local serving guidelines.

This is a temporary position anticipated to continue through Memorial Day 2027. The assignment may end earlier or be extended based on business needs and does not create a guarantee of employment for any specific duration.

This is a nonexempt (hourly) role. The budgeted rate for this role is $20. This is the hourly rate for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual hourly rates will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.
