Job summary

Thompson Dallas, a luxury hotel in downtown Dallas, seeks an In Room Dining Server to join our Food & Beverage team. Deliver orders to guest rooms with warmth, accuracy, and a polished service mindset, ensuring proper temperature and presentation while anticipating guest needs.

The typical shift is 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with flexibility for mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and events. Ideal candidates have experience in upscale settings and hold Food Handler and TABC certifications.

Qualifications

• Upscale hotel or fine-dining experience preferred.
• Food handler and TABC certifications required.
• Able to work 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms in a timely, professional, and hospitable manner.
• Prepare trays and room service carts with the appropriate items.
• Review every order for accuracy, completeness, and special requests.
• Present orders neatly and explain menu items or beverages when appropriate.
• Verify billing accuracy and present the check to the guest for review and signature.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meal and overall experience.
• Retrieve trays, carts, and service items from guest rooms and hallways promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of all work areas and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen, front office, housekeeping, and other F&B colleagues.
• Assist other dining outlets and perform additional duties as needed based on business demands.
• Follow all hotel, food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and service standards.
