Job summary

Nobu Ryokan Malibu is seeking a personable Room Service / Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences in-room and in-hotel outlets. You will take guest orders, set up and deliver food and beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the stay.

Responsibilities include posting charges to guest rooms, maintaining mini bars, and coordinating with kitchen for dietary requests. A high school diploma and prior service experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required.
• Prior experience as room service, restaurant or banquet server preferred.
• Advanced ability to comprehend and speak English; knowledge of additional language(s) is a plus.
• Must be customer-service oriented and possess excellent hospitality skills.

Responsibilities

• Take and deliver guest food and beverage orders and settle guest bills.
• Assist with stocking, cleaning and posting charges for in-room mini bars.
• Communicate dietary needs, allergies and special requests to the kitchen.
• Set tables and room service trays according to standards; ensure guest satisfaction with each course.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware and service areas.
• Complete closing duties and assist other departments as needed.
