Job summary

Amity Foundation, in-prison Counselor I role, delivers face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDTP). You will guide classes and sessions, document progress, and collaborate with CDCR staff to support inmate rehabilitation and relapse prevention.

The position requires DHCS-approved registration with AOD certification within five years, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and ARMS.

Qualifications

• Requires registration with an organization approved by DHCS and AOD certification within five years.
• Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills are essential.
• Operational knowledge of MS Office Suite and ARMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI classes using evidence-based curriculum for participants.
• Conduct classes and individual sessions to develop release prevention/action plans.
• Evaluate and document progress of participants in classes.
• Document delivery of CBI programming services in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms and expectations.
• Work with CDCR/CDCS headquarters, local institutions, and contracted staff.
• Other related duties as assigned by the Contractor.
