Job summary

SiSTEM is seeking experienced in-person tutors to work with motivated students in the Atascocita/Summerwood area. You’ll tutor K–12 in math, science, English, social studies, world languages, computer science, and honors coursework, among others.

Sessions can occur at homes, libraries, schools, or your own space. We value experts who can foster real understanding, study skills, and confidence, and who can meet students face-to-face in the designated area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one subject and grade band listed above.
• Reliable transportation and ability to meet students in person in the Atascocita/Summerwood area.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one and in person with students in grades K-12 in your subject areas.
• Help students develop deeper conceptual understanding, not just finish homework.
• Build study habits, problem-solving strategies, and confidence across subjects.
• Identify and close gaps in foundational skills that hold students back.
• Align sessions with each student’s broader academic roadmap.
