Job summary

Olive-Harvey College in Chicago invites applications for a Full-Time Tenure Track instructor of Computer Information Systems (Cybersecurity). The role focuses on teaching Python, Swift, C++, and Java and advancing student engagement through effective pedagogy.

The ideal candidate will design courses and labs to meet learning outcomes, post syllabi on BrightSpace, and enter final grades in PeopleSoft, while maintaining office hours and contributing to the college’s academic and professional

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or related area; industry certifications or related work experience can substitute.
Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Must be available to teach in-person.
Knowledge of BrightSpace or similar LMS is preferred.
Teaching demonstration will be required for selected candidates.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate excellence in teaching and commit to integrating new technologies in learning.
Design courses and labs to meet learning outcomes and promote active student participation.
Post syllabi on BrightSpace and enter final grades online in PeopleSoft.
Create an effective learning environment to foster intellectual curiosity and problem solving.
Maintain office hours and contribute to the student’s academic and professional communities.
