Qualifications

• Requires completion of H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation or related fields
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns
• Experience in client-facing, consultative roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must meet IRS/state continuing education requirements
• High school diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex situations
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance
