Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor to prepare complete tax returns for individuals and businesses, conducting client interviews to understand life changes and tax implications. You will deliver personalized recommendations and identify tax savings opportunities, supported by training and technology that enhances client service.

This in-person role emphasizes building lasting client relationships, providing IRS support, and collaborating with a team in a positive office environment

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including planning and audit support
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role
• Strong verbal and written communication and ability to explain tax concepts clearly
• Must complete continuing education and maintain IRS/state requirements
• High school diploma / GED or equivalent
