Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns with planning and audit support.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
• Strong ability to explain tax concepts in client-friendly language.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for diverse clients.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and implications.
• Provide clear, personalized recommendations and build year-round client relationships.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
