Applicants should have 5+ years in tax-related fields, knowledge of complex returns, and strong communication. Preferred credentials include a CPA/EA and familiarity with GoSystem or UltraTax software.

Qualifications

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including tax planning, audit support, and tax notices.
Experience in a client-facing, consultative, or advisory role.
Strong verbal and written communication, able to explain tax concepts clearly.
Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and implications.
Deliver empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance when needed.
