H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to prepare accurate returns and uncover savings opportunities for diverse clients. You will interview clients, provide personalized recommendations, and foster lasting relationships with ongoing advisory support.

The role emphasizes in-person service at a local Block Advisors office and offers industry-leading training, technology, and an incentive plan tied to impact as you grow tax expertise and serve clients.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns, including planning, audit support, and notice resolution.
• Experience in a client-facing, consultative role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse situations.
• Interview clients to understand finances and tax implications, then provide recommendations.
• Build year-round relationships by delivering consultative service and tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance.
